Circulation Lubrication System
Application:
Throttle systems are used above all in oil circulation systems, the task of which is to filter and manage the temperature of the lubricant. This is the case, for example, with paper machines and presses.
Function:
The lubricant pumped by a pump into the main line is separated according to the line and flow resistance to all connected lines and, from there, to the different lubrication points. This resistance can be realised with the aid of volumetric flow controller or volumetric flow limiters, for example. It should be noted that the allocated quantity of lubricant turns out much less the larger the resistance in the line. Wear particles of the friction points are carried away by the high volumetric flow, corrosion damage is avoided and vibration is damped.
Benefits:
- Flow rate can be easily altered
- Digital / analogue monitoring of the flow
- The medium can be filtered and its temperature controlled in a single system
- Easy to extend
- High volumes of lubricant are possible at each lubrication point
